Services led by Inci Csonka and Zsolt Mórocz take place in Svätý Peter. Zsolt plays the guitar and Inci teaches the youngest biblical stories in a playful way. They teach children to pray and help them remember sayings and folk wisdom.
In Šimonovce, 10-14 young people meet every week in the Mission House. The lessons are led by Zsuzska Tóth. The lessons are often complemented with film screenings and experiential pedagogical games. Rózsika Ruszó works with children – she organizes craft workshops and rehearses Christmas performances with children.
Evangelization using music and Testimony, reading the word of God, a brief explanation of the teaching, preferably 1-2 times a year at each place. Youth bands such as Youth Band from Slavec are usually invited.
We organize children’s camps in many places and usually join them with local church camps. Where this is not possible, we organize separate camps for children. The camps took place in Jelka (together with the prison mission), in Nova Osada near Komárno, at the Holdas ranch, and also in Dolný Štál. Our camps are supported by the Dutch KOEN Foundation.
Our youth camps are intended for adolescents who have already exceeded the age limit for children’s camps. This camp is a meeting point for young people from all around Slovakia, as it is usually attended by 4-6 young people from each location. We are happy that this camp is gaining in popularity.
Cursillo is a very intense Christian course that is a one-time event in life. It connects generations and nations. Several of us have already attended. Some members attend the event regularly, especially those who are ready to delve even deeper into the knowledge of God and His Word.

The guitar lessons are led by the pastor from Veľký Blh, László Gebe. We are more than happy to announce that he also launched a Roma mission in Tomášovce.
The cooking class is held once a month under the guidance of women from Veľký Blh. The classes also take place in Čata under the name “Golden Spoon”. Students learn how to cook traditional gypsy dishes as well as Italian or Hungarian dishes and cakes.
In most locations, these activities take place outdoors (depending on the weather). The Sports Days event in Slavec is worth noting as the whole village is up on its feet at that day and teams from other villages are also invited.
These events are as important as religious education or Bible lessons. We usually organize craft workshops during big holidays. The event is open for everybody, not only for children of Roma origin.
Last year, the theme of Noah’s Ark met with a huge success. This year, we are participating in the art competition announced by Diaconia – the best art will be printed in the upcoming calendar.

We presented these lectures in the second youth camp and adult camp organized in 2017. Our goal is to organize them monthly in all locations where our mission takes place. These events provide an opportunity for those young people of Roma origin who do not know much about Roma ethnic groups, Roma history, literature, famous personalities of Roma origin of whom they should be rightfully proud of, etc.
In Čata, recitation competitions have been taking place for many years. We believe that the competition will serve as a good example for other regions.
The ensembles (recitation collective, performance based on books, plays) are active in Veľký Horeš and Čata.
The “colourful” Čata provides suitable space for dance classes – it does not matter who attends the class, the joy from dancing is what counts. The small team also performs publicly.
The anniversary of the Roma Holocaust (August 2) is regularly honoured in Čata at a commemorative celebration when those who were forced to endure the Roma Holocaust (“porajmos” in Roma language) are remembered.
International Roma Day (April 8) is celebrated every year. We have already participated in e.g. National Day of Prayer organized by the HRCH (Hungarian Reformed Church) in Káposztásmegyer.

We educate our volunteers in various fields, such as of missiology or Roma studies. The conference, organized annually by the Missionary Office of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Berekfürdő, is an excellent event in that regard.
We also provide further education for pastors, teachers and other volunteers serving in individual church congregations. The education includes lectures by invited speakers, workshops, as well as discussions on practical issues. In addition, at least 2 other useful trainings are organized every year in Hungary (to which we are always invited). All these events are offered to our volunteers free of charge.
